Yurts for Drawa National Park Juulchins*
* Juulchin – Mongolian origin word,

For long Juulchin species have been present in large numbers all over the world. Recently, however, anthropologists have observed a subspecies of Juulchin who appear more and more often in the region of Lubuskie forests, in Drawa National Park. Interestingly, a group of incoming Juulchin differs in some respects from the currently known representatives of this species. They tend to be more curious about the world and crave peace and quiet. Also, they differ in their approach to rituals typical for Juulchins studied by researchers, i.e. most of the Juulchins known to us so far, with the onset of the dry season, pour out to crowded Baltic beaches to indulge in the ceremonial consumption of a local speciality referred to as a waffle. It is believed that this ritual is aimed at collecting a sufficiently large fat supply for the winter.

Stąd dla wyodrębnienia tego gatunku nazwano ich Juulchin Drawieńskimi. Osobniki te ponad wszystko cenią sobie cisze, bo od zarania dziejów słyną z szacunku do natury. Szanując naturę, szanują także swoje ciała, wiec pragnąc dzikości, pragną ruchu, rekreacji, ale także komfortu. 
I właśnie z myślą o drawieńskich turystach powstały trzy komfortowe jurty, czyli Dacza Puchacza, położone w miejscowości Stare Osieczno w regionie lubuskim w sąsiedztwie Drawieńskiego Parku Narodowego. Jurty zostały zaprojektowane na wzór oryginalnych mongolskich namiotów z azjatyckich stepów, jednak dostosowano je do potrzeb turystów pragnących odrobiny komfortu. W ten sposób pozostając w dzikiej przyrodzie, wpisują się w trend glampingu. Cały teren został zaprojektowany przez wybitnego architekta Iwo Borkowicza nagradzanego międzynarodowymi, prestiżowymi nagrodami.

Yurts for Drawa National Park Juulchins*

Having studied the lifestyle of Drawieński Juulchins, I have designed and equipped the yurts so that the arriving tourists would not miss neither wilderness nor comfort. 

Fortunately the yurts are located in the areas that are quite forgotten, so they maintain their wild feature. I set up the yurts with respect for nature and with no damage to the natural ecosystem. Having rare species of animals around me, including one of the largest owls - an Eagle Owl - I appreciate this good neighbourhood and I don't want to disturb it. 
I located the yurts and all elements of small architecture on a circular plan, because I believe that it is a symbol of perfection, absolute, divinity and the Sun. Each of the three yurts is located in a chamber, which has a circular shape and is isolated from the wild forest. Inside the chamber there is a round yurt with a round terrace featuring a round hammock, moved by the wind.
Paths leading to the yurts are illuminated at night. In the ceiling of each yurt there is an electric skylight, mounted directly under the stars of the night sky. You can immerse your body in the warm water of an electrically heated tub, and the immersed body can be magically affected by bird singing - ATTENTION! There is no remote control to turn up or down a birdsong. Each yurt is equipped with an iron stove, in which you can burn wood that has been provided and placed near the yurt.  
Meals can be prepared in a well-equipped kitchen and eaten with taste and a selection of spices at a wooden table in the open air. All the guests, Drawieński Juulchins, are kindly requested to treat yurts with kindness, and above all, to take off the shoes while inside.

For spirit and body, I have designated places for a bonfire and a barbecue, as well as sauna and a hot tub.

In Dacza Puchacza you will find: a hot tub, a sauna, a bonfire, barbecue and feasting site, a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, coffee maker), an iron stove, comfortable mattresses, a dog bed, a spacious wooden terrace, a bicycle stand and a hammock for several people next to each yurt, towels, bathrobes, books about the nearby area, games, electric skylight, stars and sky, clothes hanger, picnic basket, organic toiletries, sunbeds, yoga mats, badminton rackets, boules. There is a possibility to order: lunch in a jar (vegetarian option available), basket with organic products, food (and delivery) from a nearby restaurant, as well as a guided tours of the park. You can also rent Nordic Walking equipment.

Obszar, na którym znajduje się Dacza Puchacza słynie z bardzo ciemnych, niezanieczyszczonych światłem miast nocy. Jest to jeden z nielicznych takich terenów w Polsce. Niespotykane, gwieździste niebo zachwyca i zachęca do wielogodzinnej kontemplacji.
The Dacza Puchacza site is well-known for dark nights that are undisturbed by city lights. It is one of the few such areas in Poland. It is here, where the rarity of starry nights can be marvelled at during long-lasting sky contemplations.
Das Gebiet, in dem sich Datscha Puchacza befindet, ist
berühmt für seine sehr dunklen, von Lichter der Stadt unversehrten Nächte. Es ist
eines der wenigen Gebiete dieser Art in Polen. Ein beispielloser Sternenhimmel
erfreut und lädt zu vielen Stunden der Besinnung ein.

In autumn, the forests surrounding the Dacza Puchacza are filled with mushrooms. We strongly recommend taking a basket and mushroom picking. Here you can find impressive boletus and bolete mushrooms, as well as lepiota and many other rare species.
Im Herbst sind die Wälder rund um Datscha Puchacza bis zum Rand mit
Pilzen gefüllt. Wir empfehlen Ihnen, mit einem Korb in der Hand spazieren zu
gehen und schöne Steinpilze, Pfifferlinge, Gold-Rohlinge und viele andere seltene
Pilzarten zu sammeln.

The Drawa National Park is a mecca for anglers as it provides easy, convenient and unlimited access to many lakes and rivers that guarantee successful fishing, both of sports and recreational nature. The local water reservoirs attract fishing enthusiasts from all over Poland and Europe.
